What’s Our Logo?

The T shape is a Tau cross – beloved of Franciscans, and a nod to St. Thomas the Asker of Holy Questions.

The Tau is grey because greyfriars, Conventual (convent not conventional) Franciscans, are the urban teaching version of Franciscan. You’ll see Fr Mir in a grey habit, not brown.

The chalice is a full spectrum rainbow for all the personal identities – all made in God’s image. We are refreshed and renewed when we accept our true selves, able to ease the thirst of others when we don’t have to hide.

The bread is the best we could do at showing a full spectrum of human shades without looking weird for bread. We are infinitely better nourished and nourishing when we embrace all of humanity from all the world’s cultures.
